Rebecca Brown is a native Californian who was born in San Francisco and has lived in Richmond, Union City, and San Jose. Ms. Brown graduated from Oak Grove High School in San Jose and attended Clark Atlanta University, where she majored in criminal justice. Ms. Brown received her Bachelor of Science degree from Clark Atlanta University in the Spring of 2014 and attended California Western School of Law in San Diego in the Fall of 2014 as a recipient of the school’s Diversity Scholarship.
While at California Western School of Law, Ms. Brown received many honors and awards for diversity and community involvement including the Pro Bono Honors Society Award, The Diversity Leadership Award, and the Earl B. Gilliam Scholarship. Ms. Brown also served on the board of the Asian Pacific American Law School Association (APALSA) and served as Vice President of the Christian Legal Society. Despite her full course load and extracurricular activities, Ms. Brown managed to graduate a trimester early from law school in December 2016. Just three months later, she sat for and passed the last three-day bar exam administered in California.
